What led me to choose this field:

I have a deep-seated interest in social and foreign policy and have a desire to contribute to the field of sustainable and environmental development.

My role model in the field (if any)

Mary Robinson for her role of encouraging women's empowerment as a tactic to develop and promote long-term economic stability. Susan Rice for her efforts to encourage diplomacy through dialogue and initiatives of peace in her vast foreign affair capacities.

My advice to someone interested in this field

Gain any level of experience; find out an outlet of foreign policy you want to target and then pursue by reaching out to mentors, friends, and leaders you want to work with. Do not be daunted by the possibilities, just conquer it one step at a time.
