Tenzin Dhardon Sharling

Tenzin-Dhardon-SharlingName: Tenzin Dhardon Sharling

Job Title: MP and a Graduate Student in Communication

Educational Qualification:
MA in Communications, Madras Christian College and MSc in Counselling Studies, University of Edinburgh.

My role & responsibilities (Job description) briefly:
I have done multiple roles: As the elected representative of Tibetan people, graduate student pursuing PhD in Communications, Co-Chair (elected) of the Steering Committee of International Tibet Network, Political Activist, Advisor of 'Gender sensitization and Legal Empowerment of Tibetan Women in Exile project' of TWA and as the General Secretary (elected) of the 'Tibetan-Chinese PEN Centre.'

My advice to someone interested in this field:
Communications is an interdisciplinary field and gaining scholarship in this discipline also requires your participatory roles in the dynamics of your area of interest. But the greater challenge is to juggle the roles strategically to avoid subordination but to achieve a synthesis of your academic pursuits and your vital engagements.
